About Dr. Dannegger
My name is Dr. Aaron Dannegger, but everybody calls me Dr. D because I learned a long time ago that my last name was hard to say, remember, and spell. I want to welcome you to Best Impressions Family Dentistry. My goal here is to make you as comfortable as possible so that we can help you make your dental health as good as possible. I understand that there a whole bunch of things that are more fun than coming to the dentist, but since dental health is an integral part of overall health it is very important to treat and maintain your teeth and gums.
I moved to Springfield in November of 2000 to start this office six months after graduating from University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. My wife Laura and I are both from St. Louis originally, but we were both lured to Springfield by the beauty of the area and the friendliness of the people. We have been blessed with three children; AJ, Emily, and Nicholas who keep us very busy. Between school, scouts, sports, and dance, we find time to do things together as a family such as camping, biking, or hanging out at the pool. One thing people are always surprised to learn about me is that I play in an ice hockey league.

Christy, Office Administrator
My name is Christy. I started my dental career in 2005. I started as a dental assistant learning all of the procedures before taking on the role of office administrator. You will see me interacting with patients in every area of the office. I have been married to my husband Shaun since 2002. We have a beautiful daughter named Kailey who keeps me very busy. I love spending time with family and friends, shopping, sports, cooking and traveling.
Shawna, Registered Dental Hygienist
I’m Shawna, and I am a hygienist here at Best Impressions. I started working for Dr. D back in 2003 after earning my degree in Dental Hygiene from Missouri Southern in Joplin. I had worked for several years as a dental assistant prior to going back to school to be a hygienist, so I have a lot of experience in dentistry. I am originally from Southern California and even lived in Hawaii for a little while prior to moving to Southwest Missouri in 1997. When I’m not helping people attain their attractive healthy smile I enjoy spending time with my family, painting, and design.
Amy, Dental Assistant
I have been in the dental field for over 12 years as a dental assistant. With my many years as a dental assistant I strive to assure things run smoothly and efficiently with a warm smile and caring thoughts. I am married and have two wonderful boys. My interests are going to church, all of my boy’s activities, watching football and basketball, and I also like working on our 80-acre farm.
Brandy, Certified Dental Assistant
My name is Brandy. I’ve kept everyone entertained at Best Impressions for over five years now. I graduated from Vatterott College Dental Assisting school in 2004. My primary role is working with patients as a dental assistant, but I help with front office as well. I truly enjoy my job because it allows me to interact with patients. I’m happily married to my husband Billy and we have two beautiful children, Blake and Heidi. I love spending time with family, watching movies, being outdoors, sports and eating!
Chelsea, Registered Dental Hygienist
Hi! My name is Chelsea. I am beyond excited to welcome you and your family to our office. I recently married the love of my life, Barrett. I tend to spend most of my time outside the office with my husband and family. I graduated dental hygiene school from Ozarks Technical College in 2006. I immediately started working for Dr. D as one of his hygienists and have been at his office ever since. I currently drive in from Bolivar to give you, our patients, the highest standard of dental care.
